4th of July Festivities

In light of the preparation for a family 4th of July get-together, I have found myself in much anticipation coming up with some fun food and activities for the kids and family since our Independence Day has impending rain.

With all the delightful goodies my sister-in-law makes- I simply don't want to overload or make too much sweets since hers are delicious enough- so I thought I would make something like a fruit dip.

Pinterest has an AMAZING recipe for marshmellow/cheesecake dip! Here are the instructions!

I want to accompany this with bananas, strawberries, pound cake squares and white chocolate stuffed black berries (yum) to keep the red white and blue theme.

There are also some really neat red white and blue layered punches out there- I have already bought the drinks- now just excited to test it out! The trick is to put the drinks in order from highest sugar content to lowest..and separate by layers of ice so that the colors won't mix:

I basically added a bunch of photos for reference- but I WILL be posting my discoveries for the 4th soon!

Until then- Happy 4th!
